D.V.M.
Dr. Cometto was born in Columbia, SC and was raised in Lexington, SC.
She attended Lexington High School, where she was a six year Varsity Letterman in Women’s Varsity Golf. She won two state championships and a region championship during her high school career. She graduated Lexington High School with Honors and was in the top 5% of her class.
She was then awarded an academic and golf scholarship to attend Presbyterian College, a small liberal arts college in Clinton, SC. During her four years at PC, she helped the women’s golf team transition from a Division II team to a Division I team. She majored in Biology and Chemistry and minored in Spanish and Athletic Coaching. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and with honors.
After graduating PC, she attended The University of Georgia Veterinary School. She received the International Veterinary Medicine Certificate while at UGA. She was also awarded the AVMA Senior Student Award for Clinical Proficiency in Clinical Pathology. She graduated in May 2014. GO DAWGS!
After graduation from UGA, Dr. Cometto moved to Ft. Lauderdale to join our amazing team. Two of her main veterinary interests are soft tissue surgery and clinical pathology. She is also a strong believer in offering the best veterinary medicine at an affordable price. Another asset Dr. Cometto offers is her ability to speak Spanish, which is great for our Spanish speaking clients.
Some of Dr. Cometto’s interests include traveling, golf, the beach, sports, fishing, and spending time with her family, friends, and pets. She has two, four year old terrier mutts named Bogey and Bandit and a two year old Siamese mix named Binx.
